Get Crafty with NeighborSpace this Sunday and Monday

We here at NeighborSpace are proud to have been invited to participate in the Chicago Community Trust’s 98th Anniversary Gala. The Trust is one of our biggest supporters.

To celebrate, we’re making corsages that represent the unique variety of NeighborSpace’s 80+ community gardens: these will be corsages built not just from flowers, but from vegetables and prairie plants, too.

Some examples of veggie corsages.

Feeling crafty? Want to join us? We’ll be building these corsages at NeighborSpace headquarters at the Chicago Center For Green Technology (445 N Sacramento, Suite 204) at the following times:

  • 12-5 pm, Sunday
  • 12-9 pm, Monday

Come for a few hours, meet other gardeners from across the city, enjoy some socializing and snacks and tunes, and get your craft on, all while helping NeighborSpace protect more community gardens.

If you are planning on coming, please contact Joe Zarrow at jzarrow@neighbor-space.org or 773-826-3240.
