NeighborSpace FISCAL ACCOUNTS
Thinking of having a fundraising event for a project in the garden? Do you want gardeners to pay for their raised garden beds this growing season? Having a NeighborSpace Fiscal Account allows garden groups to accept tax-deductible donations online and apply for grants under NeighborSpace’s 501c3 organization status. Please contact admin@neighbor-space.org for additional information or to request your garden’s Fiscal Account Report.
To learn more, please view our Fiscal Account Procedures.
To apply for a Fiscal Account, please fill out this agreement form and return it to admin@neighbor-space.org.
We encourage garden groups to apply for non-profit grants using NeighborSpace’s non-profit status. Please email us at admin@neighbor-space.org to notify us prior to submitting your grant application. We would be happy to review your application to determine an administration/programming fee that is adequate for your project. A Grant Management Fee of 3-10% (occasionally higher for certain projects) is required to cover administrative and reporting costs for each grant.
NeighborSpace community gardens often use GoFundMe campaigns as a way to collect regular donations for their plot allotments or for general fundraising. Before you start a GoFundMe campaign, please read our instructions/tips on setting up a campaign and notify us by email at admin@neighbor-space.org. If you do not already have a NeighborSpace Fiscal Agency Account, we will assist you with the necessary forms and details. You may set up a GoFundMe at the same time as you set up your fiscal account.
