Info on how to have NeighborSpace Fiscally Sponsor Your Garden Project

Thinking of having a fundraising event for a project in the garden, but are not a formal 501C3? Do you want gardeners to make individual plot donations for their raised garden beds this growing season?
NeighborSpace may be able to fiscally sponsor your project.

To learn more, please view our Fiscal Sponsorship FAQ and Fiscal Sponsorship Procedures documents.

To apply for Fiscal Sponsorship, please email admin@neighbor-space.org.

How to set up a Go Fund Me Account (You will need NeighborSpace as your fiscal sponsor if you are not a 501C3. Apply for that first.)

NeighborSpace community gardens often use GoFundMe campaigns as a way to collect regular donations for their plot allotments or for general fundraising. Before you start a GoFundMe campaign, make sure you have applied and been approved for fiscal sponsorship (see above). Please read our instructions/tips on setting up a campaign and notify us by email at admin@neighbor-space.org.

Instructions for REIMBURSEMENTS / PAYING SOMEONE FROM YOUR FISCAL SPONSORSHIP / GETTING PAID BY NeighborSpace – Please read!

NeighborSpace now uses the online bill payment system, Bill.com. For more information, please visit our Bill.com FAQs or reach out to bills@neighbor-space.org.

Please send all reimbursement requests/invoices to bills@neighbor-space.org

If you are applying for grants with NeighborSpace as your fiscal sponsor, you MUST alert us with the Grant Alert/Submission form below (ideally 2-3 weeks ahead of time).

If you are a garden that is fiscally sponsored by NeighborSpace, in some cases, you may be able to apply for grant funding available for 501c3’s with NeighborSpace as your fiscal sponsor. Please fill out the Grant Alert/Submission Form and/or email us at admin@neighbor-space.org if you are interested in applying for a grant. We would be happy to review your application to ensure it aligns with our mission and resources and to determine an appropriate administration/programming fee. This fee will be assessed on a case by case basis and depends on the size of the grant, the number of transactions required, and  the administrative requirements (tracking and reporting, federal funding compliance).
