The BARGE (Broadway Ardmore Ridge Glenwood Early) Block Club took the lead to improve and beautify four plots of land that are located on W. Hollywood Avenue west of Broadway. This is where Hollywood crosses Magnolia Avenue and feeds into Ridge Avenue. Traffic counts indicate that over 43,000 vehicles use that route in a 24 hour period, and it is, therefore, a highly visible component of the Edgewater community.
The Gateway Garden area consists of four small, irregularly shaped parcels of land left over a number of years ago when the city took over several properties and used them to make the connecting road – now known as W Hollywood Ave.
