Donate Land

Open green space is a scarce and valuable resource in urban areas. Supporting the growth of these spaces will improve the quality of life for area residents and can provide precious opportunities for community groups to gather  -  often times meeting each other for the first time. They also provide opportunities for communities to grow their own food, get in touch with nature, and educate children and teens about gardening.

If you own open land in Chicago and wish to donate a parcel to NeighborSpace that is less than two acres in size, please contact us directly. We would be pleased to work with you to find the most appropriate strategy for a tax-deductible donation of property.

In rare situations, NeighborSpace may be able to purchase open lands that are less than two acres in size. If you have open land that you may want to sell to NeighborSpace, please call us so we can review the options with you.
