Does your garden have a community plot? El Yunque Community Garden in Humboldt Park started one this season. They hope to grow a variety of crops to give away to the community, including both vegetables and flowers. Labeling a bed in the garden as “community share” is a great way to show the community that they are welcome to pick from the garden. It also might prevent people from taking produce out of your own bed.
