This week preSERVE garden, located in North Lawndale, shared its harvest with Franciscan House of Mary & Joseph, a shelter that has been providing refuge for over 30 years on Chicago’s West Side. The shelter will put the veggies to good use, either handing them out directly to clients or using them to prepare fresh meals.
