Space Park is an urban oasis garden with mostly perennial flower beds, shrubs, and ornamental trees, plus a few herbs growing at the rear southwest corner. There are two small grass spaces for reclining or sunning, and two small picnic tables and two benches for seating. The park is open from early morning until dusk and closed after dark. Volunteer committee members usually meet on Saturday mornings in warm weather to cut the grass, remove the weeds, rubbish or trash, close and reopen the gates each day, and to monitor the automated irrigation system.
